Frontier’s technology powers Roberts’ ConnectR App for remote control of Roberts’ Stream 105 internet radio using iPhone/iPod
London, 14th Dec 2011: Frontier Silicon, a market leading supplier of digital radio and connected audio technology today announced that Roberts Radio, the UK brand leader in the portable radio market, has adopted Wireless Device Remote Control technology from Frontier Silicon for their ConnectR App that works in combination with the Stream 105 portable internet radio.
The Frontier Silicon Wireless Device Remote Control is a simple and easy to use App for iPhone® or iPod Touch®, it enables users to control and browse the radio from anywhere within range of their Wi-Fi home network. The App offers comprehensive remote control functionality for Venice 6.2 based network audio products, allowing users to tune DAB and FM radio stations, browse internet radio content, access audio files from their home server and control the volume from the comfort of their armchair. The App is designed to allow brand customisation, as Roberts have done in developing ConnectR App for their Stream 105 radio.
